About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze donor participation and engagement metrics to re-engage donors and deepen engagement
Communicate with donors in partnership with portfolio owners
Conduct pipeline analysis and prospect research to identify potential donors and funding partners
Write donor profiles and distribute them to portfolio owners
Manage a portfolio of donors supporting all five regions, including scholarship, “in honor of,” and small-grant programs
Support Associate Boards across all five regions and nationally
Collaborate with Operations and portfolio owners to maintain accurate donor information, donation tracking, and donor data
Keep donor prospect and campaign information current in Trello and aligned with CiviCRM
Prepare donor correspondence, letters, invoices, reports, pledges, commitment follow-through materials, and other stewardship resources
Track and share portfolio analytics, donor performance, and other performance metrics
Provide staffing support for national fundraising events as needed
Maintain shared Development team resources, including grant attachments and Development files on Drive

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated writing skills
Ability to build internal and external relationships
Understanding of Harlem Lacrosse’s collaborative national model
Basic knowledge of CiviCRM and other donor management systems
Basic knowledge of Trello and other project management systems
Commitment to racial and gender equity
Strong communication, project management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Passion for supporting systematically disenfranchised youth, preferably through mentoring, education, and/or sports-based youth development
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends when required
Ability to undertake local, regional, and occasional overnight team travel
Ability to work successfully with employees across different geographies and time zones
