About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform all aspects of safety for moderately complex engineering assignments
  • Assist in managing the company H&S program under general supervision
  • Develop and build client relationships to create HSE consulting opportunities
  • Provide and/or assist with industrial hygiene and safety consulting activities
  • Maintain online databases including ISNetworld.com, PEC Premier, PICS, and Browz
  • Coordinate client prequalification packages and safety performance evaluations
  • Manage the Quarterly Random Drug Screening program
  • Manage the annual Motor Vehicle Report program and Hargrove Driving Violation tracking program
  • Manage quarterly Job Hazard Analysis audits and reports
  • Perform and manage monthly Mobile office inspections
  • Identify and manage Safety Award Applications
  • Manage the Teammate Training Program for safety
  • Manage the client site orientation program
  • Assist with the Hargrove subcontractor qualification program
  • Maintain H2S monitors, including calibration and replacement of calibration gas cylinders
  • Assist with site visit scheduling and conduct site visits with Corporate Safety Leader
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly Safety Meetings
  • Document and publish SLT meeting notes and lead SLT meetings as required
  • Assist with proposal development
  • Manage safety team travel
  • Register and prepare materials for conferences and seminars
  • Develop and/or assist with training presentations and safety chats on Loss prevention topics
  • Deliver safety training to Hargrove teammates
  • Utilize department standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field from an accredited university is required
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant industrial safety, risk management and/or industrial hygiene experience
  • No certification is required for this position
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene and Safety principles and practices
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to perform work on an HSE project as directed, conduct required activities, maintain required documentation, and construct a meaningful report of activities
  • Ability to participate on a small team to deliver on commitments
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
