Controls Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform complete design of Controls & Automation engineering assignments
- Operate as the technical lead or team member on projects
- Provide on-site assistance during startup
- Produce automation system architecture designs and installation specifications
- Advise on design or scope changes
- Review and check vendor drawings and construction submittals
- Develop control system installation specifications
- Troubleshoot field problems regarding I/O and networking
- Lead a small team to deliver on commitments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial experience in controls and automation engineering
- Experience in design, implementation, testing/FAT/SAT, deployment/installation, and startup/commissioning for automation projects
- Familiarity with ISA S88 programming standards
- Familiarity with IEC 61131 programming languages and standards
- Understanding of OSHA 1910.119 Management of Change
- Ability to create controls hardware installation documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of industrial networking
