About the role

  • Generally responsible for business development to improve organizational market position and achieve financial growth
  • Work with Leaders to define long-term organizational strategic goals
  • Build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close deals
  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling and other means of generating interest
  • Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Identify potential clients and decision makers within client organizations
  • Research and build relationships with new clients and set up meetings between client decision makers and Hargrove Leaders
  • Plan approaches and pitches and present an image that mirrors that of the client
  • Work with Team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, leading proposal efforts and participating in pricing the solution/service
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions; work performed under general supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Business Development/Sales
  • Must have experience selling for an EPC firm
  • Must have an understanding of Engineering, Design, and Project Management in an industrial setting
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Good networking skills
  • Proficient proofreading skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
