About the role
- Own sales performance and distribution growth across the assigned region
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution goals
- Lead, coach, and develop Area Managers, Territory Managers, and sales representatives within the territory
- Manage distributor relationships, including planning, performance reviews, forecasting, and execution of sales initiatives
- Drive execution of national and regional promotions, pricing programs, and brand initiatives
- Identify new market opportunities, key accounts, and channel growth strategies (on-premise, off-premise, chains, independents)
- Analyze sales data, depletion trends, and market conditions to adjust strategy and improve performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams
- Oversee regional budgets, forecasting, and expense management
- Ensure compliance with alcohol beverage laws, company policies, and ethical standards
- Represent the company at industry events, distributor meetings, and key customer presentations
Requirements
- 10+ years of sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the three-tier distribution system
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing distributor performance
- Experience across multiple channels (on-premise, off-premise, chain, independent)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region
- Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Results-driven and data-focused decision maker
- Strong relationship-builder with distributors and key accounts
- Passion for the alcohol beverage industry and brand building.
