About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and negotiate vendor-specific collaboration concepts for global terminal operators and achieve budget targets in collaboration with regional procurement teams.
  • Conduct market analysis and internal assessments to identify negotiation leverage points.
  • Implement strategic proposals to secure terminal capacity and maintain Hapag-Lloyd's competitiveness.
  • Drive cross-regional category strategy and sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Support port studies to analyze surplus and demand, impacting sourcing concepts.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships at relevant levels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify value-add potentials.
  • Contribute to the creation and standardization of global supplier management processes and tools.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in business administration, logistics, transportation management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, shipping, or terminal operations and at least 3 years of experience in procurement functions.
  • Result-driven, enthusiastic, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinker with good negotiation and conflict management abilities.
  • Proven track record in successful stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work cross-regionally and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research.
