About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement and deploy solutions on the ServiceNow platform in line with approved architectural designs, platform standards and governance guardrails.
- Act as lead platform administrator: own instance configuration, update set management, upgrade planning and environment hygiene across development, test and production.
- Maintain and operate the platform on a day-to-day basis, including health monitoring, performance, access management and incident resolution at L2/L3 level.
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems, working with integration partners and third-party vendors as needed.
- Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint delivery and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Architects and Solution Consultant.
- Support platform adoption through technical documentation, knowledge transfer and contribution to testing and operational handover.
- Enforce development standards, code quality and best practices; support and mentor less experienced team members where applicable.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including significant time in a senior engineer or lead admin capacity.
- Strong platform administration skills: instance management, upgrade cycles, update sets, access control, security policies and environment management.
- Solid development experience: scripting, Flow Designer, integration configuration and custom application development within the platform.
- Proven experience with ITSM and at least one of ITOM, CMDB/Discovery or a comparable ServiceNow product area.
- Solid understanding of ITIL and IT service management principles.
- Experience working within Agile/DevOps delivery models.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across a globally distributed organisation.
- Fluent English required.
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD or relevant CIS) are strongly preferred. ITIL certification is an advantage.
