About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and lead the overall technical strategy, architecture, and design for complex systems and platforms.
  • Own and oversee a set of key technologies within the location, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide architecture principles.
  • Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices, design standards, and governance mechanisms.
  • Act as a technical mentor and coach to Principal Engineers and senior technical leaders.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, assessing their potential impact and applicability.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve system scalability, performance, and resilience.
  • Provide deep technical expertise to solve complex architectural challenges.
  • Represent the organization as a thought leader internally and externally (e.g., conferences, publications, community engagement).
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering community.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7–15 years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in a Product/ Engineering Development or a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Hands-on experience in mentoring technical teams and leading cross-functional collaboration
  • Managing cross-functional and globally distributed teams
  • Lead end-to-end product delivery, ensuring value-based prioritization and timely execution.
