About the role
- Lead the design of AC /DC overhead/underground high-voltage (HV) transmission lines (69 kV–500 kV or higher).
- Perform structural analysis and loading calculations for various structures.
- Conduct transmission line routing studies and feasibility analyses.
- Develop plan & profile drawings and design reports.
- Serve as technical lead or lead engineer on projects.
- Provide quality control reviews and coordinate with teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (required at hire).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the power industry, preferably with a transmission and distribution company or T&D engineering consultant.
- Proven experience with high-voltage overhead transmission line engineering.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PLS-CADD and related design tools.
- Strong knowledge of NESC and related industry codes.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
