About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and govern end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale P&C insurance platforms and digital initiatives
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions
Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives
Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical governance processes
Provide technology leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
Design solutions for policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, agency/broker portals, customer self-service, rating and pricing, and regulatory compliance
Modernize legacy insurance applications and integrate third-party insurance platforms
Architect customer-facing web and mobile applications and omnichannel experiences
Ensure availability, security, performance, and scalability of customer-facing solutions
Lead adoption of Microsoft Azure cloud-native architectures
Define Kubernetes containerization and deployment strategies
Evaluate and implement Generative AI use cases including customer service, claims automation, knowledge assistants, underwriting support, and document processing
Drive API, microservices, and event-driven integration strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
10+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Solution Architecture roles
Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry experience required
Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future, as a Lawful Permanent Resident or US Citizen
Proven experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
Experience working with distributed Agile teams
Strong hands-on experience in Java-based full stack development
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and React, Angular, or modern JavaScript frameworks
Extensive experience with workflow and BPM platforms such as Pega
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
Experience with API-led architecture, enterprise integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or Azure Service Bus
Experience architecting and delivering iOS/Android mobile applications, customer self-service portals, agent/broker portals, and digital claims and policy servicing platforms
Experience implementing Generative AI solutions using LLM-based applications, RAG, AI-powered chatbots and assistants, and intelligent document processing
Experience with P&C insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar
Experience with domain-driven design (DDD)
Azure certifications and cloud architecture certifications
Experience with data and analytics platforms supporting insurance operations
Strong understanding of insurance security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
