About the role
- Provide freelance interpreting services to bridge communication gaps for clients in need of language access.
- Operate as a 1099 Independent Contractor, set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.
- Serve in medical, legal, educational, and other settings as needed.
- Accept appointments Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; appointments are offered based on need and not guaranteed.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability across various work environments.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns.
- Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate basic communication
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
