About the role
- Connect bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities to serve as freelance interpreter or translator for Hanna Interpreting Services LLC.
- Operate as a 1099 Independent Contractor interpreter, setting your availability and accepting appointments based on your schedule.
- Provide language access and compassionate interpretation services to clients regardless of English proficiency.
- Accept appointments Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (appointments not guaranteed; offered based on need).
- Complete skills assessment, background check, and onboarding to join the linguist network.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns.
- Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate basic communication
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
