About the role
- Operate as a freelance Korean-English interpreter providing language access services.
- Work as a 1099 Independent Contractor, set availability and accept appointments based on schedule.
- Provide interpreting services in medical, legal, educational, and other settings as needed.
- Appointments available Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm; appointments are offered based on need and are not guaranteed.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability across different work environments.
- Complete skills assessment, background check, and onboarding to join the linguist network.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns.
- Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate basic communication.
- Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
- High School Diploma or equivalent; or certification in interpreting or related fields.
