About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Apply multiple layers of material/fiber to surfaces, assuring adhesion until the desired thickness, contour, and strength are achieved
Fit and smooth successive layers in the proper orientation, free from wrinkles, air pockets, contamination, and voids
Work from work orders, specifications, and written instructions to lay up composites
Use basic composite bagging procedures to complete the lay-up process
Load and cure composite components in the press load or autoclave when required
Monitor and verify the quality of finished products
Document work according to the manufacturing order process
Promote a safe work area and general shop safety

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Less than 1 year of related experience
Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
Comfortable using power tools and standard shop equipment
Must be able to read and follow detailed work instructions and prints
Capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Self-motivation and inclination to take ownership of job duties
Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
Perform basic math functions to include addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
Basic computer skills; open and find data in simple applications
English/Spanish a plus
