About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a small group of orthotic and prosthetic clinics as a connected group practice.
- Ensure timely, high-quality patient care and satisfaction across clinics.
- Connect clinics, share resources, address gaps, and improve efficiency and care coordination.
- Match patients with best-fit specialists and eliminate care-delivery barriers.
- Participate in direct patient care, potentially up to 60% of the role.
- Manage staffing plans and support recruitment with HR.
- Mentor and oversee clinical staff, promoting best practices and quality standards.
- Partner with clinicians and the CSA team on training and care capabilities.
- Foster a unified, collaborative culture supporting engagement and growth.
- Oversee daily operations, resource planning, forecasting, and project delivery across multiple clinics.
- Align clinical and operational strategies with dyad partners and regional leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives and partnerships within the market.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Implement incentive models rewarding productivity, quality, and engagement.
- Manage and communicate the market strategy and business plan.
- Build relationships with local healthcare providers, stakeholders, and the community.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Clinician pathway: current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from ABC or BOC, or a baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics (or foreign equivalent) and current ABC Board-Eligibility in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics.
- Non-clinician pathway: high school education or equivalent.
- Minimum two to four years of supervisory experience.
- Clinician preferred: five years’ experience in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics providing direct patient care.
- Clinician preferred: two to four years of third-party billing experience.
- Non-clinician: five years of progressively responsible experience in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics or related healthcare administration or services.
- Non-clinician preferred: bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Allied Healthcare.
- Non-clinician preferred: four years managing a medical clinic or healthcare services facility.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures, or eligibility to obtain one for the non-clinician pathway.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state licensure where required.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in delegation and accountability.
- Ability to collaborate across the organization.
- Ability to evaluate and monitor clinical capabilities and skill levels.
- Ability to manage, develop, and motivate employees.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and using financial information to drive business results.
- Knowledge of orthotics and/or prosthetics patient care management.
- Proficiency in Windows-based office technologies, including Word and Excel.
