About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create, modify, and duplicate plaster models.
Fabricate diagnostic and definitive rolled silicone sockets custom to each project.
Perform assembly of the final prosthesis.
Prepare and assemble prosthetic finger products following existing work instructions.
Perform repair of prosthetic socket interfaces, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
Capture and process 3D scans of patient models, prosthetic components, and related objects.
Convert scan data into editable 3D models and ensure quality and proper alignment.
Exhibit basic knowledge of computer modeling techniques (CAD).
Prepare 3D printers (FDM, MJF, and LPBF) for builds, and post-process jobs according to existing SOPs.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure accuracy and product excellence.
Safely pack and ship orders using appropriate materials.
Assist with R&D initiatives as needed.
Employ existing processes to accurately move a project through the fabrication workflow.
Communicate with team members on project design and troubleshooting ensure seamless design-to-manufacturing integration.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Operate various equipment, machinery, and tools to construct prosthetic sockets and components.
Document work and maintain detailed logs.
Monitor job priorities, ensure they are all completed accurately.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
Adhere to all safety regulations; compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; compliance with blood borne and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Work under close supervision.
Perform other duties or special projects, as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
Technical training school preferred
Less than 1 year of related experience
Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses and orthoses according to patient measurements, casts and in compliance with a physician's prescription
Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
Effective organizational, time management and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
