About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and coordinate Hanger LIVE and national patient-focused event logistics with event teams from pre-planning to concept development to completion to include but not limited to registration, communication, agendas, scheduling, travel/transportation, accommodations, menus, liaison with education component/vendors/exhibits, audio-visual, presentation and event production.
  • Research and negotiate vendor/venue contracts and provide oversight of vendor/venue commitments to include hotel, travel, AV, décor, scanning, furniture, entertainment, printers, mobile applications, drayage, and transportation and video/photo crews.
  • Develop, oversee and actively manage all areas of the Hanger LIVE budget.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to clearly communicate event execution timing and expectations.
  • Research and recommend new systems and applications supporting conferences and events.
  • Interact with senior leadership to provide updates and recommendations on event execution and planning.
  • Provide on-site event leadership and partnership to deliver event as planned and serve as on-site lead for clear direction, to answer questions and provide solutions.
  • Assist with the coordination, planning and execution of other large-scale enterprise events and meetings that require advanced logistics and support to include but limited to regional meetings, Board meetings, and town halls.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of event planning and management experience for large-scale multi-million dollar corporate events
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Extremely well organized with excellent time management skills
  • Superb critical reasoning skills, complemented by decisive and expedient change management skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple projects
  • Experience effectively researching and negotiating venue sites, hotels, meeting spaces, and transportation
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience leading support teams in coordinating events and projects, as well as working directly with vendors and contractors
  • Experience with managing events with high production value to include an understanding of effective theater/show production
  • Ability to collaborate across various internal teams and external partners and contractors
  • Experience with management of food and beverage services, marketing and collateral development, venue oversight, and exhibit management
  • Well-versed in hospitality trends and technologies
  • Complex problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
  • Effective interpersonal skills with strong negotiation knowledge and ability
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to manage several projects at a time
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
