About the role

  • Ensures adequate item cost valuation by processing transactional data.
  • Data entry of supplier invoice line-item details to ensure accurate inventory costing.
  • Identify, communicate, and work through exceptions to standard processing.
  • Research items through large data sets and creative techniques to identify resolution.
  • Review data and research of other team members to ensure consistent treatment.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly analysis of certain key inventory performance indexes and other analysis.
  • Manage aspects of the quarterly and yearly physical inventory process.
  • Work with team members and managers to ensure internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Work with and support clinic teams in a consultative manner.
  • Solve problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize upstream process flow and downstream impacts of inventory purchasing data.
  • Assists in developing and documenting business processes.
  • Supports system testing for replacement, upgrades, and enhancements of related systems.
  • Collaborates with internal and external teams in own area of expertise.
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience -OR- 6 years of relevant experience (or a 1:1 combination of education/experience)
  • Experience using Excel (advanced)
  • Experience using SQL (intermediate)
  • Ability to use Outlook, Word, SharePoint (basic)
  • SQL (basic to intermediate) knowledge helpful.
  • Customer service orientation with understanding of business partner relationships.
  • Familiar with basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Understanding of inventory, accounts payable, and/or general ledger systems and processes.
  • Anticipates and accepts changing roles, directions, and work methodologies.
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a strong desire to reach challenging goals and pursue excellence.
  • Contributes personal ideas and knowledge to accomplish work.
  • Gathers and analyzes critical information from a variety of sources to understand problems.
  • Understands the Hanger product mix, supply chain, and clinic operations.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
