About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare, send and follow up commercial quotes, maintaining continuous follow-up to convert opportunities and strengthen client relationships through multiple communication channels (phone, email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn).
- Act as the focal point between the client and internal departments (Operations, Finance, Pricing and Sales), ensuring alignment, agility and quality in service.
- Receive, validate and forward instructions for new shipments to the operations team, ensuring correct execution of processes.
- Complete the operational closure of shipments, verifying information and forwarding the cost breakdown to Finance for invoicing.
- Participate in alignment meetings with the commercial team, monitoring opportunities, ongoing processes and service strategies.
- Perform monthly insurance endorsements for shipments, ensuring compliance with established procedures and deadlines.
- Perform import documentation analysis.
- Coordinate end-to-end maritime import shipment operations.
- Maintain contact with overseas agents and importers.
- Act proactively to resolve issues and identify opportunities to optimize import processes.
- Update the system.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Relations or a related field;
- Experience in the role/area;
- Experience in maritime import operations (FCL and LCL).
- Knowledge of import documentation.
- Knowledge of freight forwarder routines and international logistics.
- Experience preparing and following up commercial quotes.
- Experience in client service and relationship management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Foreign Trade management systems (SkyChat is a plus).
- Intermediate English (reading and writing) for communication with international agents (desirable).
