About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides supervisory oversight of security controls and troubleshooting efforts of security services related to business critical applications and systems
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate assignments of information security associates
  • Design, develop, and support various security controls as part of the overall Enterprise Security Program
  • Standardize, document, maintain, and automate where possible, information security controls
  • Ensure compliance with Hancock Whitney’s policies, guidelines, and architecture; documenting exceptions
  • Work with other bank leaders to support the mission and core values of the bank
  • Provide mentoring, guidance and training to staff of information security associates
  • Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required
  • Work with auditors and examiners to assist in gathering requested information for review

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems or relevant science degree or senior security certification (i.e. CISSP, GSE) and 6+ years related experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience is allowed
