Enterprise Program Release Manager
Hancock WhitneyEnterprise Program Release Manager in the financial sector overseeing project releases and quality control. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plans, executes, and monitors releases according to project/release timelines
- Coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants
- Defines the release objectives and oversees quality control throughout its life cycle
- Provides proper reporting to management and executive forums
- Establishes and manages effective change processes for user requested technology changes
- Works with various team members and leadership to identify cross-project dependencies related to implementation planning and execution of projects
- Collaborates with the Test and Quality Team and other responsible IT members on scheduling of the available test environments
- Directs the preparation of documentation to support planning and execution of the Enterprise Release schedule
- Develops and maintains an ongoing Enterprise Release calendar of events
- Leads the development of detailed implementation schedules, communication, and reporting deliverables
- Supervises the release team in their day-to-day functions, work prioritization, availability, and performance
- Develops, implements, and maintains the governance structure for Enterprise Release Management
- Provides guidance and venues for facilitation of information across cross-functional team members
- Escalates project schedule variances or other issues to management
- Seeks continuous improvement in departmental processes and tools
- Represents the bank in civic, community, and industry activities as required
- Performs other related job duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- College Degree in a financial, business or systems field of study or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of banking or business systems experience
- 5 years of experience as a project manager is preferred
- Superior knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- An understanding of strategy and tactical views and planning processes
- Corporate, Division, and departmental level change management capabilities
- Ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations
- Proficient Microsoft Professional Office experience including Word, Access, Excel, Project management tools, and other related software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent written, reading, and analytical skills
- Excellent business systems management skills
- Superior planning skills
- Proven management, project management, programming, and team building skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to understand and solve complex problems
