About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Hamilton process sensor accounts
  • Manage existing customers and prospect for new customers to expand the customer base and meet or exceed yearly growth targets
  • Identify customer needs and position appropriate products
  • Establish working relationships with existing customers to expand account penetration across Hamilton sensor products
  • Prospect for new leads through trade shows, social networking, and cold calling
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory
  • Review performance monthly with sales management and adjust sales activities to optimize growth
  • Use the CRM to facilitate the sales process and communicate the sales pipeline
  • Initiate, identify, and coordinate action plans to penetrate new customers in the territory
  • Coordinate customer visits, demo follow-ups, and lunch-and-learns
  • Assist with marketing plans and objectives
  • Maintain accurate field feedback records and reports for senior management
  • Control expenses and manage time to meet budget and productivity guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering, from an accredited not-for-profit institution or equivalent experience is required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrated track record of driving sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time with no restrictions
  • Superior time management skills and ability to complete tasks on time and from the road
  • Understanding of biopharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical processing, and related markets
  • At least one year of sales experience in the Life Science market is preferred
  • Drug and background screenings required
