About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual regulatory returns to the CBI, PRA, NAIC and other relevant regulatory bodies
- Act as a key liaison between Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Investments, Reinsurance and Compliance functions to ensure regulatory reporting remains compliant, robust and aligned with evolving external requirements
- Work with the finance team to issue financial, regulatory and management reports to a high quality and on a timely basis
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits related to Solvency II
- Providing reporting and analysis to senior management, executive committees, the Audit Committee and the Board as required
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the regulatory reporting team in respect of team welfare, training, career development, objective setting, and performance evaluation
- Keep abreast of all regulatory reporting updates applicable to the Company, communicating to management in a timely and strategically focussed manner
- Coordinate all reporting activities to meet internal and regulatory deadlines
- Maintain detailed reporting calendars and stakeholder responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance and development of effective control framework including systems and internal controls
- Strive for efficiencies and consistency in the finance and regulatory functions across locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA with 4-5 years post qualified experience
- Experience working within an Irish, UK or EU-regulated insurance or reinsurance environment
- Solvency II regulatory reporting experience a must, strong technical expertise in QRTs, SFCR, RSR, Own Funds and SCR reporting key to the role
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to utilise data and reporting insights to improve controls, efficiency and decision quality
- Experience supporting regulatory audits, Board reporting and regulatory interactions
- Ability to prioritise issues, identify areas of difficulty and communicate clearly with Finance Director / CFO
