Prepare cost segregation studies for real estate clients across the U.S.
Review construction documents, invoices, settlement statements, and fixed asset schedules.
Perform construction cost analysis of architectural, site, civil, mechanical, electrical, and specialty components.
Assist with on-site property inspections to document building systems and components as needed.
Travel up to 20%, including occasional overnight travel for property inspections.
Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate integration into tax compliance and planning.
Develop technical expertise in cost segregation, MACRS depreciation, and real estate-related tax concepts.
Deliver a best-in-class client experience through accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of building construction methods and systems.
Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
Use our tech stack proficiently, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Clickup, Hubspot, and construction software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in cost segregation, construction, engineering, estimating, appraisal, inspections, or related fields (Internship or transferable experience welcomed.)
Knowledge of construction cost data (e.g., RSMeans or Marshall & Swift) is a plus, but not required.
