About the role
- Build, operate, and maintain our infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and automation within the DevOps function.
- Help us build secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes, and related tooling.
- Own and improve CI/CD workflows, enabling fast and reliable deployments across teams.
- Advise and support your fellow DevOps engineers, fostering autonomy, quality, and professional growth.
- Define and track operational metrics, including deployment success rate, infrastructure cost, scaling efficiency, and recovery time.
- Drive incident readiness and response, ensuring strong observability and alerting across systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure goals with broader product and platform objectives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering
- Deep experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform preferred).
- Proficient with Kubernetes and deployment tooling such as Helm.
- You know CI/CD inside and out—GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, whatever gets the job done.
- You can script in Python, Bash, or something similar.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK/OpenSearch.
- Strong understanding of cloud security practices: IAM, encryption, secure network design, compliance.
- Proven ability to mentor, lead technical initiatives, and drive strategic outcomes.
- Solid understanding of systems performance and reliability, with experience improving deployment reliability and infrastructure scalability.
- Comfortable working in a polyglot environment (e.g., Scala, Rust, Python).
- You’ve got strong opinions on infrastructure—and the humility to evolve them.
- You care about security, performance, and doing things the right way.
- You’re collaborative, curious, and not afraid to get in the weeds.
