About the role
- Drive Halcyon's new business pipeline growth.
- Identify, hire, and mentor top talent to develop foundational sales skills and elevate careers.
- Motivate and empower the team to be successful in a distributed work environment.
- Regularly report on key metrics and KPIs in executive level reporting.
- Standardize best practices regarding inbound prospect qualification, outbound prospecting, and sales hand-over.
- Establish and optimize standards for lead routing, scoring, response time, cadence, and messaging quality.
- Make people, process, and technology improvements to improve utilization, efficiency and productivity of the sales process.
- Work with sales and marketing to define and refine process and strategy to improve effectiveness.
- Work closely with Field Marketing and Marketing on campaign strategy follow up.
- Develop strategic Go-To-Market initiatives.
- Work with Regional Directors and Demand Generation on territory development.
- Refine and evolve a scalable, measurable and predictable process for running and growing the team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
- Has had prior team leadership experience (1+ years) leading highly functional SDR/BDR teams.
- Familiarity with both outbound and inbound business development tactics, and KPI’s.
- Demonstrative executive presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proven success aligning key stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Operations, and BD.
- Self-starter with ability to function independently and in a timely manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus.
- Experience with CRM and Sales systems (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, Nooks, Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding team sales targets and KPIs.
