About the role
- Support the overall grant management of a portfolio of federal disaster grants.
- Lead reimbursement processes for disaster grants (e.g., FEMA PA, FEMA HMGP, HUD CDBG-DR), including analyzing data, packaging documentation, aligning to applicable requirements, submitting in existing systems, and responding promptly to any requests for information (RFIs).
- Communicate with internal clients and external stakeholders (e.g., FEMA, HUD, PR COR3) to discuss, resolve, and deliver federal reimbursements to the client under applicable requirements.
- Provide project management support by tracking documentation and offering coordination support to team leaders.
- Provide administrative, analytical, and finance/accounting support to the client and our internal project teams.
Requirements
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in a relevant field, such as accounting, grants management, or finance.
- Bachelors degree or higher.
- Professional language proficiency in both Spanish and English.
- Prior involvement in FEMA Public Assistance (PA) and/or HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) reimbursement.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
- Familiarity with systems and compliance processes implemented by the PR Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction, and Resiliency (COR3) preferred, but not required.
