About the role
- Responsible for designing, structuring and managing a category panel of vendors, service providers and other business partners.
- Organize and lead market benchmarking, competitive bidding (call for tenders) and selection processes with multi-domain stakeholders.
- Promote collaboration across Hager’s businesses to identify synergies and negotiate aggregated volumes to secure commercial benefits.
- Report on progress against purchasing roadmaps for assigned spend categories and oversee execution of initiatives.
- Deliver high-level performance within a collaborative culture, focusing on process standardization, implementation of best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Drive the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements into purchasing activities and ensure suppliers align with Hager’s objectives as set out in the Code of Sustainable Purchasing.
Requirements
- Academic degree or relevant qualification in business management, industrial management, information technology or engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing.
- Operational and technical understanding—experience related to consultancy, project management or Agile methodologies in digital environments is an advantage.
- Proven ability to navigate and collaborate across departments, business units, geographies and disciplines.
- Strong presence and interpersonal skills with the drive to build effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders, vendors/service providers and other business partners.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with familiarity in contractual negotiations, contract development and local regulatory requirements.
- Fluent English; German and/or French language skills are a plus.
- Experience with SAP; knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus.
