About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Blood Management Centers and Hospitals onsite in the field
- Provide ongoing customer support
- Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems in the defined territory
- Manage installation, spare parts, issue resolution, and service-operation measurement
- Follow up with customers and own product- and service-related issues
- Serve as the focal point for troubleshooting and continuous customer interface
- Interface between field organization and internal support structure
- Provide onsite technical assistance and coordinate new system placements
- Develop leads, promote upgrades, and support contract renewals
- Provide technical direction and assistance for equipment operation, maintenance, repair, logistics, field modifications, and installations
- Provide onsite customer guidance and training on operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, data interpretation, and technical instructions
- Assist the quality team with data collection and timely reporting
- Manage service-parts inventory levels
- Complete required documentation in SFDC the same day as service
- Edit, write, and modify service and training manuals and SOPs
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree with knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry, or applicable military experience
- 2–5 years of relevant technical field service experience
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Highly motivated with strong problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good technical writing abilities
