About the role
- Execute strategic and operational sales plans for assigned territory to achieve quota
- Drive territory growth through new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning
- Develop and execute territory business plans and sales strategies
- Direct training and education during account launches and provide technical support
- Present and implement Performance Guarantees and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews
- Transfer account knowledge and report to leadership regularly
- Gain access and develop physician champions and KOL advocates
- Make presentations to physician leaders, service line directors, supply chain, and C-suite
- Support contract discussions with hospital and IDN leadership and facilitate Value Analysis approvals
- Collaborate with clinical specialists and align the team around the business plan
- Provide clinical and economic presentations and maintain customer relationships
- Manage territory fiscally by controlling expenses, returns, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with Company policy, Quality System, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience (Preferred)
- A minimum of 5+ years of directly related experience
- Medical Device Sales in Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart (Strongly Preferred)
- Thorough knowledge medical device market, products, and customers
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and sense of urgency
- Highly developed business acumen and experience in targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts
- Ability to establish personal credibility with clinical staff, administrators, and physicians
- Emotional Intelligence to manage schedule and clinical resources effectively and efficiently
- Previous experience calling on Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologist, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and administrators
- Aggressive strategic thinker and tactical planner
- Ability to stand for long hours and wear heavy cath lab protective clothing
- Exposure to blood and ability to perform fine manipulation tasks
- Willingness to travel up to 50% in defined territory
