Oversee drawing reviews, CapEx planning, and automation feedback for CNC as part of the Factories as a Service team
Serve as Lead Engineer for scoping, designing, planning, and automation feedback for CNC across all material types and configurations
Review drawings for manufacturability rapidly and select appropriate CapEx for part numbers and assemblies
Advise automation team on CNC best practices and production/inspection methods
Assist in building new factories for existing production scope and contribute to manufacturing processes of new products where CNC is designed-in
Recruit and lead 1-2 CNC MEs and collaborate with Automation and Factories Leadership to design and ship CNC production and inspection lines
Analyse customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of CNC DFM, production, and inspection lines
Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with customers and the Federal team
Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing
Requirements
Senior Manager or above level with deep expertise in CNC production and inspection
Able to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities
Capable of leading 1-2 CNC Manufacturing Engineers
Able to analyse DFM, and design/plan production and inspection lines for CNC
Prior experience standing up new CNC lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains
Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions
ITAR requirements: must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Software or automation experience is not required but helpful
