Oversee drawing reviews, capital expenditure planning, and automation feedback for Sheet Metal
Serve as Lead Engineer responsible for scoping, designing, planning, and providing automation feedback for sheet metal across all material types and configurations
Rapidly review drawings for manufacturability and advise automation team on sheet metal best practices
Assist in building new factories for existing production scope and contribute to manufacturing processes of new products where sheet metal is designed-in
Recruit and lead 1-2 Sheet Metal MEs and work with Automation and Factories Leadership teams to design and ship sheet metal production and inspection lines
Analyse customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of sheet metal DFM, production, and inspection lines
Contribute to factories-as-a-service efforts and deliver cost/schedule/solutions with customers and Federal team
Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing
Requirements
Senior Manager or above level with deep expertise in Sheet Metal production and inspection
Able to travel to assess factories 40% of the time
Capable of leading 1-2 sheet metal MEs
Able to analyse DFM, and design/plan production and inspection lines for sheet metal
Prior experience standing up new sheet metal lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains
Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions
ITAR requirement: must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Software or automation experience is helpful but not required
