About the role
- Lead complex, cross-functional healthcare projects (e.g., EHR implementations, care model redesigns, regulatory compliance initiatives, facility expansions)
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and senior leadership
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk assessments
- Facilitate regular project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, CMS, and State specific standards
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and report status, issues, and risks to executive leadership
- Drive process improvement and operational excellence in healthcare settings
- Support change management efforts and end-user training in clinical and non-clinical areas
- Conduct project evaluations and assessment of results
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with 3+ in a senior or lead role
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience in managing large-scale, cross-functional projects
- Proven track record managing healthcare IT projects (e.g., EHR, telehealth) and/or hospital operations projects
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools and methodologies
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Experience in stakeholder management and team coordination
- Ability to work without close supervision or professional guidance and to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with staff, public and private agencies, government officials and local consumers
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Effective listening and oral and written communication skills
- Able to manage changing priorities per company needs
- Adherence to vaccination policy: proof of COVID and flu vaccination or declination form and required masking while in participant locations; adherence to infection control, PPE standards and vaccination requirements related to specific roles and locations
