About the role
- Manage and monitor network infrastructures and firewall solutions
- Implement and maintain security policies to ensure network security
- Analyze and resolve network issues to ensure smooth operations
- Install, configure and maintain server hardware and virtual machines using VMware vSphere
- Administer and optimize Windows and Linux operating systems
- Configure and manage storage systems for data processing and backup
- Implement data backup solutions based on Veeam to ensure reliable backups and recovery
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests
- Develop and implement strategies to improve IT security.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in network and firewall administration
- Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere, Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience configuring and managing storage systems and data backup solutions, especially Veeam
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
