About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies
Perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies
Identify and perform repetitive assembly of trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
Safely utilize measuring and inspection instruments
Use power and hand tools safely
Work with steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
Organize parts and equipment to maximize departmental efficiency
Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures
Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment
High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience (preferred)
2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment (preferred)
Availability to travel more than 75% of the time (preferred)
Good communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members
Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outside on occasion
Ability to reach, including above your head
Ability to safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Visual focus adjustment, depth perception and close vision capabilities
Conditional-offer pre-employment drug test may be required
