About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate crucial information to other shifts, GUI operators, leads, supervisors, management, and carriers
- Correct and fix inbound over/short and damage issues
- Make adjustments and access lookup aliases for LTOs
- Use the RF messaging system to communicate between PIT operators and jockeys
- Assign or alert the WMS coordinator/supervisor for velocity adjustments
- Assist in correcting errors at either the driver or warehouse window
- Process orders and maintain inventory in the WMS
- Perform data entry and research and correct transaction errors
- Handle domestic and international shipping documents
- Print and create reports as needed
- Manage inbound trailers in the yard
- Print and file OS&Ds
- Set up the next shift as requested
- Create and maintain spreadsheets, Excel forms, Word documents, logs, passes, alias sheets, and job-duty documents
- Set up and record outbound and inbound trailers for meetings
- Check and replenish supplies such as paper, labels, and staples
- Assign or allocate doors not completed by the previous shift
- Recheck shorts, make cuts, and reallocate trailers
- Move empty trailers out of doors left by the previous shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- Ability to speak, read (fine print) and write in English
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to process orders and maintain inventory in a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Ability to perform data entry tasks
- Ability to research and correct transaction errors
- Ability to handle domestic and international shipping documents
- Ability to operate Red Prairie (SAP) and WMS systems
- Knowledge of correcting/fixing inbound over/short and damages (OS&D)
- Knowledge of making adjustments and accessing lookup aliases for LTOs
- Training with the WMS emulator
- GUI training for driver and warehouse windows, inbounds and outbounds
- No corrective actions for attendance, productivity, or behavior
