About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, inspect, record, and manage incoming inventory including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
  • Maintain inventory records, documentation, stock counts, and discrepancy reconciliation
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
  • Upload, unpack, inspect, and transport shipments using material handling equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized storage and shipping/receiving areas
  • Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment
  • Follow safety protocols, data center security measures, and access controls
  • Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
  • Support special projects and other assigned duties
  • Assist with setup and installation of computer server racks
  • Assemble server racks according to diagrams and guidelines
  • Safely handle basic tools and equipment
  • Support senior technicians with server-rack cable management and organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
  • Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques
  • Familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting
  • Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including possible overtime
  • Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to server trays and server racks
  • Ability to use power equipment to move very heavy server racks safely
  • Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods over 4 hours
  • Ability to walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps per day
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects, including team lifts
  • Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments
  • Conditional-offer candidates may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test
