About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, inspect, record, and manage incoming inventory including racks, trays, networking equipment, and hardware
  • Maintain inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items
  • Perform stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
  • Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
  • Transport inventory using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized storage and shipping/receiving areas
  • Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed
  • Follow safety protocols, data-center security measures, and access controls
  • Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
  • Support special projects and other assigned duties
  • Set up and install computer server racks according to instructions and diagrams
  • Handle tools and equipment safely
  • Support senior technicians with cable management and organization
  • Use power equipment to move heavy server racks into position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
  • Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations with and without a calculator
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
  • Familiarity with proper lifting techniques
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and perform physical handling tasks involving server trays and server racks
  • Ability to use power equipment to move very heavy server racks safely
  • Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, respectful, and professional attitude
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including possible overtime
