About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
  • Demonstrate understanding of GXO’s quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
  • Guide supervisors on personnel, quality and safety matters
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff
  • Recommend programs to improve operations
  • Handle equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with the maintenance team
  • Maintain records appropriately and complete reports in a timely manner
  • Enforce safe work practices and ensure warehouse compliance with OSHA and other standards/regulations
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures across all departments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred
  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience
  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures
  • Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
  • Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
  • Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
