About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform internal audits of manufacturing processes, products, and procedures in support of quality and manufacturing operations teams
- Verify implementation of ISO policies and procedures in the documented quality system
- Work closely with quality assurance, manufacturing operations, and inventory control personnel
- Perform random in-process audits designated by the quality manager/supervisor or lead
- Assist with follow-up on quality-related problems
- Research, resolve, and communicate work problems to the Supervisor and assist coworkers in solving problems
- Document audit findings and records in the quality database system
- Train and interpret process procedures, work instructions, and quality bulletins for audited departments
- Provide input on changes and updates to work instructions and procedures
- Participate in special projects including auditing, training other departments, and inspecting
- Provide management reports on findings
- Adhere to the supply chain quality policy and company good manufacturing practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience interpreting graphs
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- High school diploma or equivalent is listed as desirable, not required
- Effective communication skills to present information in one-on-one, small- and large-group situations
- 1 year of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or distribution facility is desirable
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
- Conditional offer recipients may be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test
