About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies, procedures and best practices across the operation
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing effective corrective actions
- Assist with accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring lessons learned are shared and embedded across the business
- Deliver engaging safety briefings, toolbox talks and awareness initiatives that promote a positive safety culture
- Support quality, environmental and compliance activities, including audits, reporting and continuous improvement project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience within a QHSE, Health & Safety or compliance-focused role, ideally in logistics, transport or a fast-paced operational environment
- IOSH Managing Safely and a NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ L3
- A good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and risk management principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and engage colleagues at all levels
- A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach, combined with a genuine passion for continuous improvement and workplace safety
