About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead/direct all support functions of the distribution center, quality/continuous improvement, inventory management, data research and operational planning
  • Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance
  • Research and plan inbound and/or outbound loads
  • Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer; partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
  • Handle costs, mitigate risks and create value for the customer to achieve net revenue and operating income goals
  • Track, record and maintain quality data; monitor operations and quality processes, and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain cycle count program, meet SLA standards and provide results to customer
  • Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives through standardized improvement processes for the facility
  • Handle all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
  • APICS certification
  • 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
  • Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
  • Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving
  • Resource and project management experience
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
