About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases, ensuring compliance and consistency across the contract
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities across operational and management populations, helping to attract, retain and develop talent within a fast-paced logistics environment
- Partner with operational leaders to support workforce planning, organisational change, shift pattern reviews and business initiatives, ensuring people solutions align with operational requirements
- Deliver coaching and training to managers on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, building capability and confidence across the leadership population
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives while supporting wider HR projects and deputising for the Contract HR Manager when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous HR Advisor experience within a logistics, warehousing, transport or similarly fast-paced operational environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, employee relations processes and best practice HR management
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective relationships across geographically dispersed teams
- Proficiency in HR systems, Microsoft Office applications and ideally time and attendance and payroll systems, with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or above)
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence.
