About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, write, maintain and coordinate training modules for a variety of specialties, including quality assurance (QA), powered industrial truck (PIT) operations, pick, pack and ship processes, safety, loss prevention, people management, warehouse management systems (WMS), etc.
Oversee the development of training videos and/or films; maintain the library of training aids
Schedule training sessions; ensure facility and audio-visual equipment is set up and that employees are notified
Develop a means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs through testing, surveys, etc.
Identify required core competencies and address any skill gaps
Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and interacting with employees
Determine and implement career development plans for each training department employee

Requirements

What you’ll need

4 years of related work experience
Experience with warehouse management or inventory systems
Knowledge of adult learning principles and adult training methodologies
Ability to adhere to the 7S program
Proven ability to maintain a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience (it’d be great if you also have)
3 years of management experience (it’d be great if you also have)
2 years of training, teaching or related experience (it’d be great if you also have)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (it’d be great if you also have)
Creative and visual graphic design ability (it’d be great if you also have)
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. (it’d be great if you also have)
