Manager, SC Operations
GXO Logistics, Inc.Manager, Supply Chain Operations overseeing critical areas for smooth operations at GXO. Ensuring quality and safety while leading and developing staff within the logistics team.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met
- Demonstrate an understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives
- Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety
- Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively
- Make recommendations on programs to improve operations
- Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team
- Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner
- Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (it’d be great if you also have)
- 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience (it’d be great if you also have)
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (it’d be great if you also have)
- Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (it’d be great if you also have)
- Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (it’d be great if you also have)
