Assistant General Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Daily oversight and direction of the 3 chambers of the warehouse logistics operation across both Swindon Iceland sites
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies and food standards
- Manage team scheduling, resource allocation and workflow optimisation across multiple temperature-controlled environments
- Ensure rigorous adherence to food safety, hygiene and health & safety protocols
- Support Site Planning & CI Manager with pipeline development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recognised industry certifications such as IOSH, HACCP, Six Sigma is advantageous but training will be given
- Analytical, data-driven approach to operational improvement and problem-solving
- Significant experience in multi-temperature logistics/warehousing within FMCG, retail or food distribution
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, food safety and regulatory requirements for cold chain operations
