Senior Manager, Transportation

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee a multi-location operation with up to 100 company drivers
- Maintain responsibility for overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts
- Ensure the effectiveness of the operation’s communication, interaction and relationship with company drivers
- Oversee the management of tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery
- Handle 1-2 on-site managers who supervise a total of 20-30 employees
- Track operational performance including on-time pick-up and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles
- Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of transportation management experience
- Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Solid experience in the principles and practices of the transportation industry
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 10 years of experience in the transportation industry (preferred)
- Dedicated Fleet Management experience (preferred)
