About the role
- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and guidelines for GXO
- Provide strategic guidance on GXO’s trade compliance program
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Drive compliance through the creation and management of appropriate KPI’s
- Support the identification, analysis and prioritization of compliance-based risks
- Deliver systems, procedures, and work instructions for export shipment processing
- Make recommendations to improve gaps in performance
- Perform department audits to maintain compliance with policies and procedures
- Utilize risk assessment reports to drive monitoring and auditing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of experience in trade compliance in a distribution or warehousing environment
- Proven track record of establishing and running Free Trade Zones
- Experience with audit practices and import and export regulations
- Experience developing and implementing compliance programs from scratch
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS)
