About the role

  • Develop and maintain business relationships with selected clients to align technology with business goals.
  • Collaborate with and advise clients' IT departments and perform conventional CIO functions.
  • Formulate strategic IT goals and plan IT budgets.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI, ML, Cloud and security implementations.
  • Analyze and rework business processes and facilitate technology changes.
  • Gain knowledge of clients’ business use of technology and maintain client relationships.
  • Collaborate with GXA service delivery teams including professional services, information security, reactive support and technical alignment.
  • Act as a trusted adviser by challenging the status quo and aligning digital initiatives with growth.
  • Provide strategies to maintain and secure existing IT infrastructure and identify opportunities for innovation and revenue.
  • Identify business risk, strategic technology budgeting and road mapping, and manage business relationships.
  • Lead technical discussions with GXA team and clients regarding business and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide clients with appropriate technology solutions utilizing GXA’s service lines or third-party services.
  • Work with clients and GXA functions on project scoping and management and look for opportunities to surpass clients' expectations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years related experience, managing IT in the small / medium business market (mandatory)
  • Ability to tie IT strategy to business goals.
  • Knowledge of technology trends.
  • A firm grasp of IT project planning and management.
  • Experience in the IT budgeting process.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Flexibility regarding changing business goals.
  • A strong passion for and alignment with GXA’s why.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with executive level leaders.
  • A high degree of business awareness and commercial acumen.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with great attention to detail.
  • Able to take a creative approach to situations and problem solving.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with all levels, technical through to director.
  • Experience identifying and speaking to technical solutions for business problems.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the importance of investing in certain technologies.
  • Understanding of technical concepts / methodologies (prior hands-on technical experience is a plus)
  • Self-driven and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
