About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fulfills requirements of Insurance Specialist I
- Serves as a group leader and resource specialist
- Trains Insurance Billing Specialists I
- Works with management on day to day priorities
- Completes complex insurance billings and appeals
- Analyzes insurance processing procedures
- Prepares reports and resolves outstanding Accounts Receivable
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalency required
- CPC, CCA, RHIA, RHIT certification in medical billing and coding or Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in insurance billing or CPC certified
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding and insurance regulations
- Experience in a high volume and fast paced environment
